Red Swing Group

James Kindle
Project Designer I

Mr. Kindle joined Red Swing Group in January 2016 as a Junior Survey Technician. From an early age, James knew he wanted to be some sort of engineer. After completing high school, James attended Point Park University where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology in 2012. James says, “I told my parents I wanted to be an engineer when I was six and now I’m a civil engineer graduate. Once I crossed the stage I looked at them like, ‘I told you so.’”  Mr. Kindle was hired at Red Swing Group as a Junior Survey Technician, which was a completely new aspect of engineering that differed from his previous experience in water resource engineering. Over time, Mr. Kindle began to understand the principles of surveying, which had allowed him to see drafting from a new perspective. Mr. Kindle is pursuing his E.I.T. certificate in order to take his surveying and engineering career a licensed professional level. He goes on to explain, “I truly am grateful to learn from all that I’ve learned while being here at this company. I look forward to continuous learning and striving to be the best employee I can be.”

James was born, raised, and currently still lives in the Pittsburgh area. When not in the office, he enjoys art, music, playing the piano, and boxing at the gym.
