Civil Engineer II

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior Engineers on Land Development construction drawing packages
  • Perform grading w/ AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater management calculations with HydroCAD
  • Prepare and complete E&S control plans and NPDES permit packages
  • Researching zoning codes and ordinance requirements for project sites
  • Assistance with Project and Production Managers to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Coordination with municipalities, utility companies and other public regulatory agencies
  • Prepare project technical reports and specifications
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT candidates are preferred
  • 3 – 6 years of experience
  • High-level of proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation experience a plus
  • Displayed competency with hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD, HydraFlow and HEC-RAS
  • Effective written and communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the local and state permitting process in Pennsylvania
  • Ability to work on a Team with other employees through project design timeline

Civil Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead due diligence site investigations, zoning ordinance reviews & utility research
  • Guidance of junior staff preparing concept drawings
  • Final grading design with Civil 3D and earthwork analysis
  • Preparation of E&S design, NPDES permitting, calculations, and BMP’s
  • Review & coordination of utility systems and stormwater management design
  • Verification of site work construction cost estimates
  • Coordination & written correspondence with Clients, jurisdictions, utilities and contractors
  • Attendance to and making public plan presentations and Client management
  • Fiscal responsibility of projects managed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License Required
  • 5 – 10 years of land development site design and permitting experience including managing projects
  • Experience with residential subdivisions, commercial, manufacturing and/or office types of developments
  • Understand and implement jurisdictional requirements and PA Municipal Planning Process
  • Knowledge of stormwater management design regulations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling, corridors, Hydraflow and/or Hydracad
  • Self-starter who can work independently and with Team members
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Business Development/Marketing experience and/or Client contacts are a plus

Survey CAD Designer II

Responsibilities:

  • Research public records
  • Experience in large projects (i.e. boundary, topographic surveys, wetland surveys, coordinate control maps)
  • Aid PLS/Project Manager with direction of daily operations and assignment of field crew workload
  • Processing survey data, Data collector point uploading and downloading including for stake-out work
  • Review completed field work, surface modeling, all survey related tasks and calculations
  • Utilize CAD software, be precise, generate drawings, graphics and images
  • Utilize MicroStation software for public utility and transportation projects
  • Develop, organize and prepare a variety of complex layouts & drawings
  • Interest in working towards relevant certifications (LSIT, PLS etc.)
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in CAD Drafting Technology
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Proficient with MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus
  • Effective written and communication skills
  • Ability to work on a Team with other employees through project design timeline

Junior Professional Land Surveyor

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare/review daily data, and assist in monitoring field survey crews
  • Help direct field and office staff to execute field surveys
  • Perform quality control of survey plans, record plats, descriptions and reviews of title commitments
  • Process field work data
  • Prepare and review CAD work, plats and final surveys
  • Survey boundary analysis and computations of ALTA and topography surveys utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Assist in training and management of survey field crews, CAD technicians, and admin staff
  • Schedule and coordinate between other departments and companies
  • Perform field survey work
  • Meet with clients to discuss their needs and review projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience
  • S.I.T. Required, Pennsylvania Professional Land Surveyor Registration (PLS) preferred
  • Strong Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling
  • Strong multi-tasking and follow-up skills
  • Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to staff in the growing survey practice

Survey Crew Chief

Job Description:

The Crew Chief responsibilities will include a variety of tasks associated with land surveying and civil engineering. The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible daily for the survey rodman on your crew. Safety Workplace Practice is expected first and foremost and is a responsibility of each employee.

Responsibilities:

  • Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential
  • Staking property boundaries and rights-of-ways
  • Topographic surveys and x-sectioning
  • Performs mathematical calculations; field checking & field data
  • Take accurate and clear notes and performs note reduction
  • Reads and understands plans and specifications
  • Know basic sources of measurement errors
  • Know principles of monumentation, staking and marking
  • Responsible for Quality Control and performance of all work
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all Company equipment and Company vehicle
  • Self-motivated and organized with good decision making skills
  • Completion of timely & accurate reporting for all time and expense activity
  • Responsible for meeting with clients and public land owners as a representative of the Company and the reputation of the professional work provided
  • Responsible for leadership & training for Survey Rodmen
  • Responsible for team-oriented problem resolution
  • Responsible for client development with the ability to manage multiple projects and engagements in a professional manner
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Some overtime required
  • Advanced or entry-level construction staking experience

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent is required including a background in math, geometry & trigonometry
  • Minimum of 2 year experience in a Level 2 Crew Chief position
  • Knowledge: Land Development Surveying Industry, strong math and computer skills
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Tools, Equipment, Software: Survey measuring instruments including levels, GPS equipment, and total stations with electronic data collecting capabilities.
