Senior Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of due diligence site investigations, zoning ordinance reviews & utility service research
  • Mentoring of junior staff preparing concept drawings based upon Client’s development objectives
  • Final grading design with Civil 3D and earthwork analysis
  • Perform or oversee complex designs or unique project circumstances
  • Coordination of utility systems and stormwater management design
  • Review of erosion & sediment control design, calculations, BMP’s, and construction sequencing
  • Preparation of site work construction cost estimates
  • Coordination & written correspondence with Clients, counsel, jurisdictions, utilities and contractors
  • Attendance to and making public plan presentations and Client management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training Certificate Required, Professional Engineer License preferred
  • 6 – 12 years of land development site design and permitting experience
  • Experience with residential subdivisions, commercial, manufacturing and/or office types of developments
  • Understand and implement jurisdictional requirements and PA Municipal Planning Process
  • Knowledge of stormwater management design regulations
  • High and proven proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling, corridors, HEC-RAS, Hydraflow and/or HydroCAD
  • Self-starter who can work independently and with Team members
  • Excellent written and communication skills

Civil CAD Designer I

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Civil Engineers and Senior CAD Designers on Site Grading, Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation, and construction drawings
  • Coordinate with Project and Production Managers to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Design and prepare engineering plan packages ready for submission to jurisdictions
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D software

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in CAD Drafting Technology
  • 0-3+ years of experience
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation experience a plus
  • Effective written and communication skills
  • General understanding of local and state permitting applications in Pennsylvania
  • Possess a basic understanding of zoning codes and ordinance requirements for project sites
  • Ability to work on a Team with other employees through project design timeline

Civil Department Manager

Responsibilities:

  • The Civil Engineering Department Manager (CDM) reports to the Vice President and will be accountable of the operations of the Civil Department.
  • All aspects of the Civil Engineering Department including production oversight, personnel management, Client management and satisfaction, business development, scheduling, quality control and financial management including department performance.
  • Leadership, Oversight, and Mentoring of Project Managers.
  • Management of land development projects between $50k – $150k.
  • Business development and client relationship management
  • Proposal authoring and budget preparation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of Experience, project management experience required, leadership experience a plus
  • Professional Engineering licensure is required
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and staff concurrently, while meeting deadlines
  • Build and maintain Client contacts and relations
  • A thorough understanding of Civil Engineering and land development workflow processes

Junior Professional Land Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• Prepare/review daily data, and assist in monitoring field survey crews
• Help direct field and office staff to execute field surveys
• Perform quality control of survey plans, record plats, descriptions and reviews of title commitments
• Process field work data
• Prepare and review CAD work, plats and final surveys
• Survey boundary analysis and computations of ALTA and topography surveys utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Assist in training and management of survey field crews, CAD technicians, and admin staff
• Schedule and coordinate between other departments and companies
• Perform field survey work
• Meet with clients to discuss their needs and review projects
• Attend various Township, County, State and client related meetings
• Attend various professional, client related and business related events representing Red Swing Group
• Prepare budget matrixes for pricing of various projects
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5 to 10 years of experience
• S.I.T. Required, Pennsylvania Professional Land Surveyor Registration (PLS) preferred
• Strong Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling
• Strong multi-tasking, Excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to staff in the growing survey practice
• Experience with residential surveys, subdivisions and commercial types of developments
• Self-starter who can work independently and with Team members
• Business Development/Marketing experience and/or Client contacts are a plus
