Site Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior Engineers on Land Development construction drawing packages
  • Perform grading w/ AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater management calculations with HydroCAD
  • Prepare and complete E&S control plans and NPDES permit packages
  • Researching zoning codes and ordinance requirements for project sites
  • Assistance with Project and Production Managers to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Coordination with municipalities, utility companies and other public regulatory agencies
  • Prepare project technical reports and specifications
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT candidates are preferred
  • 3 – 6 years of experience
  • High-level of proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation experience a plus
  • Displayed competency with hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD, HydraFlow and HEC-RAS
  • Effective written and communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the local and state permitting process in Pennsylvania
  • Ability to work on a Team with other employees through project design timeline

Project Manager (Civil Land Development)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead due diligence site investigations, zoning ordinance reviews & utility research
  • Guidance of junior staff preparing concept drawings
  • Final grading design with Civil 3D and earthwork analysis
  • Preparation of E&S design, NPDES permitting, calculations, and BMP’s
  • Review & coordination of utility systems and stormwater management design
  • Verification of site work construction cost estimates
  • Coordination & written correspondence with Clients, counsel, jurisdictions, utilities and contractors
  • Attendance to and making public plan presentations and Client management
  • Fiscal responsibility of projects managed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer License Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5 – 10 years of land development site design and permitting experience including managing projects
  • Experience with residential subdivisions, commercial, manufacturing and/or office types of developments
  • Understand and implement jurisdictional requirements and PA Municipal Planning Process
  • Knowledge of stormwater management design regulations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling, corridors, Hydraflow and/or Hydracad
  • Self-starter who can work independently and with team members
  • Excellent written, communication and organization skills
  • Business Development/Marketing experience is a plus and Client contacts are a plus

Professional Land Surveyor

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare/review daily data, and oversee the monitoring of field survey crews
  • Help direct field and office staff to execute field surveys
  • Perform quality control of survey plans, record plats, descriptions and reviews of title commitments
  • Prepare and/or process field work data
  • Prepare and review CAD work, plats and final surveys
  • Survey boundary analysis and computations of ALTA and topography surveys utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Assist in training and management of survey field crews, CAD technicians, and admin staff
  • Schedule and coordinate between other departments and companies
  • Perform field survey work as needed
  • Meet with clients to discuss their needs and review projects
  • Fiscal responsibility of projects/scopes managed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 10 – 15 years of experience
  • Pennsylvania Professional Land Surveyor Registration (PLS) is required
  • Experience leading survey teams and projects
  • Strong Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling
  • Strong multi-tasking and follow-up skills
  • Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to staff in the growing survey practice
  • Experience with residential subdivisions and commercial types of developments
  • Understand jurisdictional requirements and PA Municipal Planning Process
  • Self-starter who can work independently and with Team members
  • Excellent written and communication skills
